Job Description:
The Business Analyst will be the face of Finance and Accounting for our Communications business based in Flower Mound, Texas.
This exciting Integrated Operating Room technology is improving the way healthcare professionals deliver care, and the finance team plays an integral role behind the scenes supporting our marketing team, R and D, operations, business units, and other teams as needed with ensuring the proper and accurate distribution of cost within the company.
This person will be given a high level of responsibility and be involved with all levels of the business in a performance driven and results orientated environment.
FUNCTIONAL
Responsibilities:
:
Maintains the company's cost accounting system; makes recommendations for improvement as needed.
:
Performs standard accounting functions including:
general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, Debit/Credits, etc.
:
Prepares and analyzes specific accounting statements and reports to assist in the preparation of financial statements, and other internal and external reports as required.
:
Coordinates with other departments to achieve cost planning targets.
:
Assists in development and transmissions of operating plan and strategic plan.
:
Analyzes monthly operating performance and profit projections for reporting and developing action items.
:
Develops overhead and labor standards.
:
Participates in monthly and yearly closing processes including journal entry preparation.
:
Assists with the development and maintenance of annual budgets.
:
Assists with related special projects as required.
:
Performs other duties as assigned by manager.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :
1
year of accounting experience preferred(CPA preferred).
:
Proficiency in Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, Hyperion, and Oracle preferred.
:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially to senior management.
EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED :
Bachelor's degree (B.
A.
) in related field or equivalent.
MENTAL REQUIREMENTS :
Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence.

Strong organizational, problem:
solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
