Retail Sales Associate for Liquor Store

Responsibilities:
Practice responsible alcohol service in accordance to local and state laws, including identification verification and intoxication prevention.
Ability to sell proactively Good communication skills Surprise and delight the customers with consistent, delightful service Assist in all aspects of store operations, with particular focus on cleanliness, fullness of product displays, signage quality, safety and customer service Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by being knowledgeable on all products offered, and teaming up with co-workers to provide excellent sales service Maintains an awareness of all product knowledge, and current or upcoming product / trends Contribute to a positive, enthusiastic and inclusive work environment Set and achieve the highest standards in retail execution.
Communicate regularly with Store Team Leaders regarding proper operations of the store Operate POS, make change and accurately conduct credit card transactions and account for all monies at the end of each shift Respond promptly to customer needs and questions and requests assistance when necessary, including answering the store phone system Ensure all financial transactions are correct and maintain accuracy and coin for making change.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
21 years of age or older Ability to perform physical requirements of position - stand/walk for 100% of shift, reach, bend, stoop frequently and lift as much as 50 lbs, repetitively Confident and comfortable engaging customers to deliver an elevated experience Prior experience in a team environment requiring professional and effective communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with other Team Members and leadership Ability to use technology applicable to the position and access information necessary to complete daily responsibilities Desire to continually develop retail sales skills and knowledge of product and services Ability to follow directions and established procedures and Initiate completion of tasks or activities without necessary supervision Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays Demonstrate creativity in promoting sales, merchandising and/or marketing Food and/or retail experience desirable The ideal candidates will have previous retail experience as well as liquor, spirits and wine knowledge.
You must be available to work Monday to Saturday and have a flexible schedule.
You must be able to stand long periods of time.
A flexible schedule is required and you must be able to work Monday to Saturday; mornings, days, evenings and holidays.
Working Saturday is a must.
Full Time positions work 5 days a week in most cases.
TABC Seller/Server Certification required.
