Summary:
The Revenue Cycle Integrity Manager performs duties of moderate to high complexity, judgment, and scope under the direction of the BSWH Director of Revenue Integrity.
Responsible for developing work teams and workflow, planning and implementation of functional area-based system applications, coordinating unit or departmental projects, delegating tasks, training and development of staff, and assists in managing the departmental budget.
The Revenue Cycle Integrity Manager is responsible for staff that reviews and makes necessary changes regarding hospital and professional charges ensuring services are compliant with Federal, state, private payor and other applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
Assists in hiring, training, and evaluating any assigned staff member.
Responsible for productivity standards, departmental metric development and reporting.
Maintains current knowledge of all charge entry systems and related processes in the clinic and hospital billing systems.
Position requires an ability to work independently and with a minimal amount of supervision.
Assists in the resolution of billing issues and denials resulting in system edits through charge management.
Maintains current knowledge of Revenue and CPT and HCPCS coding methodologies.
Has a comprehensive knowledge of healthcare financing and reimbursement.
Proactively address trends.
PERFORMS OTHER POSITION APPROPRIATE DUTIES AS REQUIRED IN A COMPETENT, PROFESSIONAL AND COURTEOUS MANNER.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY:
Bachelor's degree required with preferred concentration in the areas of Mathematics, Business, Statistics, Economics, Accounting or Healthcare Administration.
Master's degree preferred with same concentration areas listed above.
Minimum of 3 - 5 years of strong managerial experience, preferably in health care.
Proficient with MS Office applications.
Qualifications A minimum of 3 years experience required.
