I have had this table for around two years and, as much as I like it, I really seldom use it. It seems it's going to waste here in our house. I paid $600 for it and am selling it for $300. It's very large when opened. It's 42" wide and when closed, 60" long. When open, it's 78" long. Closed it will comfortably seat 6 and when open, 8 people can sit at it. It has a butterfly opening with latches underneath. It is 30" high, so bigger chairs (and taller people) will not knock the underside. This is a quality table and perfect for a large family. No dings. No nicks. It's distressed designed but not obviously so. I have ALWAYS had a table cloth on it except when opening. I can, if you like, include some larger table cloths that will work best when it's opened. Being a darker wood, it would be perfect in a more modern style home as well.
